that time we stripped down it beats to a three piece and recorded it in a concrete room!
After years of releasing music as a singer-songwriter, Brooklyn-based musician Lauren Zettler needed to make a change. Her new electro-pop project, Lightyear, is catchy, yet dramatic, and shows her as graceful, but still vulnerable about her emotions. Drawing from influences like Emily Haines, Feist and Robyn while also tapping into her own technical skills — she’s a classically trained pianist and studied film scoring at the Berklee School of Music — Zettler is able to create beautifully fragile moments that build up to powerfully stirring points.

This song just gained a whole knew meaning this morning…
I made a music video for the song “From Here” by Lightyear
The moment I heard this song I was immediately connected to it and was SO inspired to create this video. I needed to express what I was feeling and what the song meant for me and hopefully I have portrayed a glimpse of that here. The lyrics, even in their simplicity, really hit home for me and for where I am right now in my life and I had to pay tribute to that. Hopefully you will enjoy what you see!

Well, here we are, the final song off of my new EP: From Here. It’s pretty quiet. I ended the EP with this song because at the time I wasn’t sure where I was headed next….so it made sense. Where do we go from here? Sometimes there isn’t an answer. And you just keep going.

Music starts at 8pm! First 25 tickets sold get two free drink tickets.
I chose Flux because I liked the idea of being able to curate my own experience for everyone who comes to support. And the studio space is gorgeous with a beautiful grand piano. OH AND THERE’S A ROOF WHERE WE CAN ALL HAVE AN AFTER PARTY.
There is limited space inside this lovely room, so I’d recommend buying in advance!
